Mx Tabs is an incredible website which boasts a very impressive collection of over 100,000 tabs for guitar as well as an extensive collection of tabs for the bass and for the drums.  Their tabs cover most genres including rock, pop, blues and jazz so they cater for your needs, whatever they may be.  If Mx tabs doesn't have what you are looking for, then it probably isn't worth having at all.

Guitar tab (short for tablature) is a form of writing guitar music without the need for using traditional music notation.  It is widely used because many people consider it to be quicker and easier to read than standard notation.  As such, most modern music is now written in tablature form, so once you've mastered the art of reading guitar tab, the world is your musical oyster.

The tab is a visual representation of the six strings of a guitar and how each should be played (including which fret should be 'held') but there is a down side to guitar tab.  It doesn't show you note length and as such can only offer a rough guide to note lengths determing solely by how close or how far the tabs are from one another.
